A few days ago, an email went home about Oak's Veterans' Day Assembly tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, November 8.  In order to honor veterans that have served in the US military that are associated with Oak families, we are asking that you use the link below to enter their first and last names.

These names will appear as a "visual scrolling tribute" during the assembly to remind the Oak community of their service.  Additionally, please encourage your children to wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday.

Since there were several questions about Schoology last night, we thought we'd share this. It is a copy of the Schoology parent training presentation we gave a couple of years ago at Oak. There are a lot of great tips and trips so that you can get the most from Schoology!

It was great to get to meet so many of you last night! Here is our slideshow in case you were unable to attend.

We had a great day at Teamworks today! The purpose of the trip was for the students to get to know each other and work on developing their teamwork skills. The students were great! They worked together to solve challenging problems, and many pushed themselves outside their comfort zone by trying the outdoor climbing elements. Check out the photos from the trip!

There is a presentation for parents at Shrewsbury High School on February 28th at 6:30. 

Teachers will start making recommendations the week after February vacation.

Assabet Applications Due Friday:  This is a reminder that students applying to Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School need to submit their applications to Mrs. Lencioni no later than Friday, December 2nd to assure a timely submission to Assabet.  Applications can be picked up in the OMS front desk or downloaded from www.assabet.org

ASSABET VALLEY REGIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTATION INFO 
Dear Grade 8 Parents and Guardians,
On Thursday, October 20th, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School will be visiting OMS to deliver a 45-minute informational session to all interested 8th grade students.  The presentation will provide an overview of the many programs available at AVRTHS as well as admissions information. 
If you would like your student to attend this presentation to learn more about AVRTHS, please click here to give permission to attend on the Powerschool Parent Portal by clicking on "Sports, Activities, Permission Slips" in the left navigation bar and checking the Assabet Presentation Permission box, then click submit.
