This year, St. Anne's Drive is not a food drive, but a non-food item drive. We are in need of donations like toothpaste, toothbrushes, cleaning products, soaps, paper products (paper towels, napkins, tissues, etc.), laundry detergent, Shrewsbury Trash Bags, shampoo/conditioner, combs, etc.
Any donation no matter how small can be a big help to families in need. The drive ends Tuesday, November 21. Thank You! We have wrapped up Rome and are moving into the Byzantine Empire. In this unit, we look at what people really need from their governments and how economic issues can make or break a civilization.
In saying goodbye to the Western Roman Empire, students wrote odes to what made Rome great and what eventually led to its fall. See below for a student example! Stay tuned as things ramp up in this new time period! A few days ago, an email went home about Oak's Veterans' Day Assembly tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, November 8. In order to honor veterans that have served in the US military that are associated with Oak families, we are asking that you use the link below to enter their first and last names.
These names will appear as a "visual scrolling tribute" during the assembly to remind the Oak community of their service. Additionally, please encourage your children to wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPPle1F0U7pGPjqyoYzTe07CRO7UnXH6jVHBCrQLCruOeVtQ/viewform |
